What Length Should My Track Be?

We recommend tracks on or over 3m 45s for radio play, you can upload an extended version for DJ playout.

Does My Track Need To Be Mastered?

We recommend that your final track is mixed down via your DAW then mastered. However, If we sign your track, we will take care of the mastering.

Can I Use A.I?

We discourage the use of A.I as we want to hear your talent and DJ pools can become saturated with A.I Music. Our A.I Genie detects A.I music and it will flag up on our system. The only exception to this rule is, If you need to use a sound effect or had your master track mastered with A.I Tools.

What Genres Do You Accept?

For Damaged Records, We accept House, Break Beat, Tech House, Techno, EDM & Bounce.

For Soulax Records, We accept Soulful House, Trance, Melodic House, and Euphoric.

If I have released my music, Can I still be signed?

We can take over the music rights, this can be costly and a long negotiation with the other label. If you have released this on your own. we can take it over.

There is another label called Damaged Records, Are you the same label?

Although we are aware of another Damaged Records which we will allow them to continue to use the name, however, we own the trademark for Damaged Records and DMGD Records. We are not associated or affiliated with them.

How long will it take to know if my song has been signed?

We receive hundreds of demo tracks each week from all over the world. We can’s guarantee to respond to each one personally. You will receive and email from us, upon being successful, This could take a week or up to 6 months,

Will I Own My Music?

We hold your music for up to 2 years as a minimum term, The ownership will be Damaged Records until the release period of 2 years has passed. Once This has passed, We can release your song to another label with a fee negotiated between us and the new label.

What File Format Do You Accept?

We only accept MP3 320kbps and WAV files. If you have a different format, please drop us a message.

I've used samples in my music / used a sample pack

Don’t worry, Even the biggest producers in the world use them. We can still release it, it may come back as a ‘Remix’ from the digital stores like Amazon Music, Spotify etc, or it may need a cover licence.
